Panorama Hotel viewed from Gongmoo Hill
We are closed to Gongmoo Hill so you can see 2 pagodas on top of the hill from the rooms. You can see the beutiful Wat Huawiang Temple at the back rooms. Next to the temple is the market which you can try the local food at cheap price there. The market is the place where you can observe the way of life of the Shan people. We have big refrigerator, 6 cu.ft. for your storage. This is to keep your travel budget in the limit comparable to staying in the guesthouse. No taxi required because we are in the walking distance to souvenier shops and tourist spots in town. Short trekking up hill to the top of Gongmoo Hill to see the whole town is also encouraged. It takes about 30 minutes to walk.
Places to visit in walking distance
From the hotel which is located at the center of town, walking to the east side is the business area and the market. Walking down south to the lake, Wat Jongklang and Wat Jongkam at the lake side. There are beutiful ceramic paintings and the folk museum at the temple as well as the big buddha image. To the west, there are Kamko Temple, Pranon Temple (folk museum & incline buddha image), Muaytor Temple (buddha sculptures on elephant's tusks) at the foot of the Gongmoo Hill. You can wakl up to Gongmoo Hill or take a tuk-tuk taxi to see the bird's eye view of the city. Walking north is Panglor Temple and Donchedi Temple.
